I loved the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Stormy Weather, a fresh, pure, fo-cused 2018 that has a sweet core of cassis and blueberry fruits as well as notes of iron, tobacco, and leafy herbs. It’s medium to full-bodied on the palate, has silky tannins, and solid structure. Unfortunately, there are a scant 424 cases produced, but it’s a gorgeous wine from winemaker Cameron Woodbridge that’s well worth seeking out. — Jeb Dunnuck 96pts
Fermented in small format stainless steel tanks. Cold soaked 4 days prior to fermentation. Temperature maintained below 80 degrees with a post ferment extended maceration of an additional 5 days. Malolactic fermentation occurred in barrel with aging on lees for at least 1 year.
Black tinged moving to purple at the rim, with aromas of black currant, blackberry, pie spice, pomegranate, cassis liquor, and quartz. The palate is dominated by dark fruits, tobacco and dark chocolate that turns to a spicy yet plush finish that is stunningly balanced.
